Interview with Kristina as: Azure Chi Cosplay
Assassins Creed Franchise
What interests you about the Assassins Creed franchise?
From the very beginning it has been unique atmosphere, a brilliant mash up of true historical events and ‘secret’ behind-the-scene life of assassins. I am also enjoying franchise for lovely stealth gameplay!
Which Assassins Creed characters do you cosplay?
Connor Kenway from AC3.
Why do/did you cosplay them/him/her?
It’s a long story, but in short – i was in love with franchise and ComiCon was coming up together with AC3 release, so I thought why not? There, my adventure started…
What do you think of Assassins Creed Syndicate (game and characters)?
To be honest, I held no particular interest in AC3&4, Unity, and all the offspins; my heart remains with AC2. However Syndicate gave the story a new start! I am in particular fond of twins and unforgettable English setting.
How long have you been a cosplayer?
Quite a few years, but with breaks because I needed to study for Masters. I started approximately in 2010 (will never show my photos from cosplays back then, haha!) and now I am crafting new costumes.
Is cosplaying your hobby or profession?
Hobby! And I think I’ll let it remain so.
How long does it take you to make your costume?
Literally ages! I take a long time to prepare myself and I am really picky when it comes to details and accents. Some costumes took me few months; the longest one – still in a draft – 4 years.
Do you usually achieve the desired outcome for your costume on the first try?
Not really, but that’s the thing about it – there’s always a room to improvements!
Do you visit conventions?
I frequent big local conventions and I aim to get to European ones at some points.
Which conventions do you visit?
Igromir & ComicCon Russia, MCC, Starcon – all major Russian convents.
What are you working on right now?
Dragon Age and Destiny cosplays; I have several other plans, but that’s two I work actively on.
Do you cosplay for other things as well?
I cosplay for fun, mainly; what ‘other things’ could be? 🙂
