The story starts out at sea, in a battle between the Assassins and the Templars. After defeating the vessel, you will board the ship and kill a Templar, find a package and return it. However, this mission fails and you shipwreck on the shore of Port au Prince.
Port au Prince which is full of slave traders, slaves and the Templars who keep an eye on things. After being introduced with Bastienne, she gives Adewale a mission, where he has to free the leader of the Maroon slaves. The entire game tells the story of Adewale and how he, together with the maroons, tries to defeat the Templar Slavers. The ultimate goal of the game is to put an end to slavery in this region of the world. e leader of the Maroon slaves’ communities “so that their can go up a rebellion in order to put an end to slavery.
To aid the rebellion against the slavers, Adewale needs to free thousands of slaves from Plantations and slave vessels. However, after a while, the slavers bring new slaves to the Plantations.
Although the story itself takes place on most of the island of Port au Prince, Adewale can also choose to sail with the Experto Crede, his own ship. Eventually Adewale frees the slaves and succeeds in driving the Templars away from Port au Prince. At this point, Assassin’s Creed Rogue starts.
